..according to the song, at any rate. Horbury Victoria Band are dusting off the sleigh bells and getting out the festive music again, ready for the big Christmas push. We have loads of local concerts coming up through December.
On the 6th of December we're joining Skelmanthorpe Male Voice choir for a concert at St. Peter's church, which will be a chance to play some of the Christmas music for the first time, alongside some of our regular concert programme.
The youngsters of the Youth band will be making their first Christmas outing on the 7th of December at St. Luke's church in Overton.
South Ossett church will be the venue for the Senior band on the 13th of December, ably assisted by Horbury Ladies Choir, and then it's over to Batley Methodist church on the 19th.
As always, the last Senior band concert of the festive season will be at Horbury Methodist church, the Saturday before Christmas (21st of December).
The Youth band will be accompanying the carols at St Mary's church on the final Sunday morning service before the big day (22nd of December).
Start times for all the concerts will be confirmed closer to the time.
Amongst all that, we'll also be carolling in Horbury town centre on weekends in the run-up to Christmas, and then doing our traditional tour of Horbury's pubs on Christmas Eve, ending with the famous midnight singalong at the bottom of Queen Street. We hope to see as many of you as possible supporting us through our busiest season!
