Intermediate Band

Our intermediate (or training) band has a focus on teaching new musicians to play in a group, where not all players are playing the same notes at the same time!

Once our learner players have mastered the basics of sound production and music reading, they are invited to move into this first "real band".

Players are mostly aged between 8 and 14, along with a team of helpers from the Youth and Senior bands.

The training band does not have its own concert schedule, but once a year takes part in the band showcase, where all of our musicians have an opportunity to show their progress.
